Classic Room

Purposefully designed, each Classic Room breathes life into every unique space with custom furniture, bright natural light, and modern bathrooms. Outfitted with either a King or Queen size mattress, our platform beds are graced with crisp white linens and upholstered panel headboards featuring a custom Dubbel Dutch pattern. Painted window frames and crown moldings create a sleek and contemporary look against the restored original hardwood floors. Thoughtful interior touch points include custom black metal framework for shelves and clothes hanging as well as bathroom storage and towel racks. A collected mix of locally sourced area rugs and artwork give each room its own personality. With the majority having Kohler bathtubs, each room has its own modern bathroom, which also feature a custom back-lit vanity, white subway tile shower walls, and black and white hexagon floor tiling.

202: Superior King

Found on the south side of the second floor, this superior room is a deluxe experience and was originally one of the primary bedrooms for the one of the original homeowners. Outfitted with locally crafted modern interiors, the guest room includes a new King bed against original hardwood floors, high ceilings, and a historic ornamental fireplace that is decorative only. An eclectic mix of locally sourced area rugs and curated artwork bring color and life to the historic double house. With a brand new bathroom featuring a Kohler tub, custom back-lit vanity, and artfully designed black and white hexagon tile work, this superior room is a favorite among travelers.

The Suites

206: Queen Suite

Located on the north side of the second floor, this suite offers one of the few private bedrooms in the entire house, providing 100 square feet of door-separated space from the living room area. Large bay windows overlook the Grotto and light up the living area, perfect for reading or enjoying a cup of freshly brewed coffee from our local operator. A queen size pull-out sofa bed is available for extra guests or additional comfort in the living room. The adjoining bedroom is complete with a Queen platform bed, crisp white linens, and an upholstered panel headboard featuring custom Dubbel Dutch patterns. The bathroom has a Kohler tub, custom back-lit vanity, with white subway tile shower walls, and black and white hexagon floor tiling.

101: King Suite

Located on the south side of the first floor, this beautiful Suite offers a private bedroom featuring a custom King bed. Separated by historic wood carved pocket doors, the living room area comes complete with comfortable lounging furniture and a historic ornamental fireplace that is decorative only. The modern bathroom includes custom quartz vanities and back-lit mirrors amongst countless other specialized amenities. New tiling on the walls and floor assure an aesthetically pleasing experience. One of the most sought-after rooms in the historic mansion, this Suite is of historical significance as the original living room for the south side homeowners, ultimate comfort, and is fully ADA accessible.

208: Superior Double Queens

Presumed to have been one of the primary bedrooms for the original homeowner, this superior room is located on the mansion’s north side of the second floor and offers a much different experience than any other. While all rooms include at least a custom streamlined modern bed, this superior room boasts two Queen beds with a historic ornamental fireplace, that is decorative only, in between. With natural light pouring in from both the east and west, this room is likely one of the most unique and spacious rooms found throughout the city. Perfect for friends traveling together, families, or for use as a wedding ready room. The expansive modern bathroom features a brand new Kohler tub and custom back-lit vanity. If you’re looking for plenty of space and ideal lighting, this superior room is calling your name.

301: Talossa Room

Located on the mansion’s south side of the third floor, this superior room is said to have been the original nursery or children’s play room. Upon entering, historic features such as dual niches and rich original wall paneling are still present. Spacious by all standards, this superior room possesses a King bed centered in the room and is encompassed by seven distinct windows, allowing for ample daylight to illuminate the room from the east and south. The bathroom features sleek white subway tiled walls and black and white hexagon tile floors, providing all the amenities of a brand new building but with more history. This superior room is the ideal space to map out your Milwaukee exploration with additional modern furniture against 19th century architecture and you will likely not find another room like it in the city!

Located on the north side of the third floor with charming views of the neighborhood, our Milwaukee Suite provides for a private room centered around a King bed. In the living room, a large seating area complete with modern custom furniture allows for plenty of activities, from hosting a game night to sprawling out on the couch with a book. A queen size pull-out sofa bed is available for extra guests or additional comfort. An ideal amenity for extended stays, a kitchenette allows for maximum convenience complete with a mini fridge, microwave, electric kettle, glassware, silverware, and dishes. This Suite also includes an additional room with a custom bunk bed and an adjacent turret space with a comfy queen size pull-out sofa bed. A true eclectic home away from home, you wouldn’t want to stay anywhere else than the Milwaukee Suite and can also be used as a wedding ready room. An entirely new modern bathroom includes a Kohler soaking tub and a separate stand up shower with subway tile walls. This Suite sleeps up to 8 guests.
