Located between the bustling downtown and a tranquil lakefront.THEY CALL IT “SMALL-WAUKEE” FOR A REASON
The Midwest’s coolest (and most underrated) city. That’s what Vogue called it back in 2018. Travel publications like Thrillist, Eater and Food & Wine have recently highlighted Milwaukee as an under the radar destination for an authentic, local experience. And if we know anything about our guests, that’s exactly what they are looking for. With a booming bar and restaurant scene and a rising cultural art movement with plenty of outdoor festivals and music, Milwaukee truly is a gem. Looking to round out your Milwaukee experience? Check out Visit Milwaukee for a calendar of events, restaurant and bar listings, and a variety of ready-to-download itineraries for any interest.
While widely recognized for its Old World beer, cheese and sausage, Milwaukee also has an appetite for an active lifestyle. The city of Milwaukee is home to over 140 public parks, spanning more than 23 square miles. The options are endless; explore Lake Michigan’s beaches and waterfront, join a Milwaukee Kayak Company guided tour, ride Bublr Bikes to maneuver through the city streets and visit the iconic Mitchell Park Domes, or get lost within the greenery on the Oak Leaf Trail.
