A Unique Experience Awaits.

MILWAUKEE

National Geographic named Milwaukee, WI one of the '“Best of the World” Destinations for 2023.

Where modern meets historic.

We are built on juxtapositions. Historic and contemporary. Urban and natural. Whimsical and traditional. Located a block from the Lake Michigan waterfront, and the soaring wings of the Milwaukee Art Museum brise soleil. Within walking distance from downtown businesses and attractions, you'll find an architecturally significant double house turned hotel called Dubbel Dutch. Conscientiously restored, we celebrate the craftsmanship and tales of our past while imagining the new experiences and stories around the corner. And in Dubbel Dutch, there are plenty of corners.

Each room is unique, just like our guests.

Built as a double house in 1898 for a Milwaukee family, Dubbel Dutch emits character in every inch of floor tile and crown moulding. Each room, with a story as interesting as its layout, melds contemporary amenities with 19th century architectural details. With an interior that transcends any timeframe, every room is inviting yet stately.

Midwest's coolest historic hotel.

On the edge of downtown Milwaukee, Dubbel Dutch blends our historic past with our present renaissance. With views of the skyline to the south and glimpses of Lake Michigan to the east, we are locally immersed and eagerly adventurous for the independent traveler.

Once you arrive, admire the wood paneling of our one of a kind side-by-side mansion, inspect the beautiful hand painted walls of the north side of the house, and check out the local artists featured in our sitting room. Step outside and take a historic tour around the EastTown neighborhood or a walk to Lake Michigan, Cathedral Square Park and the Art Museum. The city is yours for exploring.
